Bill O’Brien was appointed Entegra’s Vice President, Engineering and Operations in July of 2009. In this role, he is responsible for plant operations and maintenance of the Union and Gila River facilities including engineering, plant performance, long-term maintenance, and environmental compliance.

Bill joined Entegra Power Group in June of 2005 as Plant Manager for the Union Power Project. Before joining Entegra, he enjoyed a progressive management career of over 30 years leading TECO Energy, Inc. organizations through construction, start-up, operations and business growth in regulated and unregulated power industries. Prior to his retirement in May 2005, he served as Vice President/General Manager Operations for TECO’s wholesale generation fleet with the responsibility for the operations and asset management of nine non-regulated power generation facilities located throughout the US.

Bill earned technical certification in instrument and control systems and continued his education in electronic engineering over the course of 11 years while working full-time within the power industry.
